WISH LIST

This is a list of;

YOUR NEEDS:

This is a list of things you feel you absolutely must have on your project site, such as washing line, tap, dog den, bike shed, composter, etc

YOUR DESIRES:

This is a list of things you'd like to include - if there is space or budget for it to be included, such as built in BBQ, trampoline, jungle gym, chill zone, fire pit, water feature, etc

GENERAL:

It's important to know the ages (roughly) of the people making use of the project site, their habits, hobbies and preferences so that careful consideration can be taken to incorporate the right elements and ensure potential hazards are avoided and maximum functionality is achieved.

3

SITE VISIT

This begins with a Client Brief where the site is introduced and requirements discussed.  At this point your wish list is handed over along with vital information pertaining to regulations, permissions, restrictions, boundaries, etc

The site is then examined, measured and photographed and if necessary, soil tests are taken.

It is very much appreciated if copies of the site can be provided indicating pipes, soakaways, cables, buried treasure etc to prevent unwanted hiccups on the installation phase.

4

DESIGN

Unlike most designers, I like to add a few steps to this section to ensure you're getting the most tailored fit for your site.

It all starts with a selection of quick mock-up sketches focusing more on flow and practicality than detail.  There are usually multiple incredible designs that will maximise a site's potential so we really want to nail the one that speaks volumes to you.

Your chosen sketch is then refined, usually through a few more steps involving themes, textures, palette and materials until a detailed Final Design is achieved.

If you choose to DIY your project or hand it to a local service provider to install then you may require a Plant List and Construction Diagrams for any features in the design.  These are additional items and only included if required.

APPROVAL

Yay, everybody's happy!

It's now up to you to decide how and when you'd like installation to take place.

2

IMPLEMENTATION - DIY /

PRIVATE CONTRACTOR

Depending on the complexity of your project, you may decide to do the installation yourself as and when your budget and time permit.

You may have chosen a design without plant list if you have green fingers as you'd be sufficiently knowledgeable in selecting the best plant for each location and have an understanding of it's habits and requirements.

Alternatively a Plant List and accompanying Planting Plan can be created for you.

You may also need construction diagrams for any hardscaping or features that don't come pre-fabricated.

3

IMPLEMENTATION - Little Blue Planet

I oversee all project works which are sub-contracted to local service providers.

4

HAND OVER

A Final Inspection is carried out along with details and discussion of initial maintenance procedures where necessary and best practices when it comes to the care and longevity of the site.

Final payments are made.
